Special Interest Groups

CAUG members know all too well how documentation that accompanies programs is just plain bad most of the time. Even if a program happens to have some good documentation, wouldn't you rather learn from a person than a book? This is just one reason for having SIGs (Special Interest Groups).

A SIG is simply a group of people with a common interest who want to exchange information. Volunteers who wish to start a SIG are not expected to "know everything" or to conduct lessons. They coordinate meeting dates and times and from there the group exchanges information on a specific topic. CAUG will supply a meeting place, and equipment if needed. SIG leaders should attend CAUG board meetings, on the fourth Thursday of each month, in order to coordinate, also each group should furnish a monthly report on activities, needs, events to the newsletter editor, Lillie Johnson

Digital Camera SIG
The Digital Camera Group meets on the third Tuesday of the month, at 6:30PM in the Retama Room of the Central Library. The Home page for the Digital Camera Group is digicam.caug.org

Graphics SIG
The Graphic SIG meets on the 3rd Monday of each month, at 7PM in the Retama Room of the Central Library. The home page for the Graphics SIG is graphics.caug.org
