Join CAUG
We invite you to join the Coastal Area User's Group. You will find that our membership is made up of many different people, from power users who make their living doing computer work, to the majority who like computers and need help. They all have one thing in common: a desire to know more, do more, and discover more about personal computers. CAUG is your gateway to achieving your goals. Membership is $25 per year. For your convenience, a membership form is available for you to print and mail in.
You can download a .PDF copy of our application form here. Please fill it out and either mail it in with your check, or bring it to the next CAUG meeting.
Learn from the Knowledgeable
Informative monthly meetings include a question and answer session, presentations by computer industry guests designed to expand your horizons. The club has been very fortunate in having as speakers representatives of major hardware and software corporations, and local experts.
Get the Help You Need
CAUG maintains a roster of volunteers who will share their expertise in a wide variety of software and hardware applications with others who have an immediate need for assistance; no more waiting for the support lines to open in the morning or biting your nails in frustration on a Saturday or Sunday.
Subscription to Our Newsletter
Each month, Coastal Computing News will bring you news, tips, tricks and reviews. Coastal Computing News is packed with information about what users like you are doing, what's hot and what's not.
Special Interest Groups
SIGs on Genealogy, Digital Cameras and Graphics meet at the direction of the SIG leader (check the Coastal Computing News or this website for meeting dates and locations). New ones can be started any time someone expresses an interest, or need.
Reduced Rates and Discounts
CAUG has an arrangement with a magazine distributor to provide members with significant savings on popular computer magazines. In addition, many companies offer special prices to user group members each month on software and hardware, even educational programs and video tapes on how to.
Door Prizes
Numerous companies in the computer industry have generously donated products to be given away at all meetings!!! Some like Alps, and Microsoft, have given prizes worth hundreds even thousands of dollars each, to lucky members.
Become a Software Reviewer
Many software companies offer programs, worth hundreds of dollars, to members, willing to install, use, and give a evaluation, of that program, via a written article, for publication in the Coastal Computing News, and on our Web site www.caug.org. For more information, visit Product Review Guidelines
Authors here is a great way to display, or improve your skills, by contributing to the Coastal Computing News, articles concerning all aspects of personal computers, the software, hardware, technology and how-to's.
